Production Operator (Seasonal)

Nestle Waters North America (NWNA) is currently seeking applicants for
Seasonal Production Operator
assignments to be located in our Poland Spring, ME facility. These temporary roles are needed
beginning February 2014 and end around October 2014
depending on customer demand.
Shift openings vary but are generally 12 hours in length and consist of a rotating schedule of 3 or 4 scheduled days/week, including every other weekend. Day shifts run from 6am to 6pm and night shifts run from 6pm to 6am.
This role pays $14.00. Night shift roles are eligible for off-shift differential pay of $0.50 per hour after 2pm.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
?perating, troubleshooting, conducting basic and preventative maintenance and performing changeovers on various bottling line equipment
?nsure the safety of self and others during all work activities
?onducting hourly quality checks and completing online data entry and documentation for production and downtime tracking, analyzing data as needed
?orking effectively with peers as a team to support production goals
?oad raw materials and remove dunnage
?ork with Planning, Quality and Logistics to maximize results and efficiency
?omply with plant sanitation standards and keep work area clean
?upports continuous improvement initiatives
?perate a forklift in the production area as needed
Key qualifications include:
?igh school diploma or equivalent
?rior experience in manufacturing preferred
?xposure to high speed production, clean manufacturing or basic maintenance strongly desired
?bility to work self directed and with a team
?olid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team based environment
?bility to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work
?omputer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
?ocus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency
?bility to lift/move 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
Prerequisites:
?pplicants must be at least 18 years of age
?ust be willing to accept seasonal/temporary assignment
?ble and willing to work 12 hour shifts including the potential for nights, weekends and holidays
?ust be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
