Forklift Operator (seasonal)

Nestle Waters North America (NWNA) is currently seeking applicants for
seasonal Forklift Operator
assignments to be located in our Poland Spring, Maine facility. These temporary roles are needed
beginning February 2014 and end around Oct/Nov 2014
depending on customer demand.

Shift openings vary but are generally 12 hours in length and consist of a rotating schedule of 3 or 4 scheduled days/week, including every other weekend. Night shifts run from 6pm to 6am.

This role pays 14.00.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
?afely operating a forklift to accurately and efficiently movement all finished product from production to the warehouse or onto trucks for shipment to customers.
?nspects full goods and raw materials and conducts hourly quality checks to ensure quality product is sent to customers
?eet or exceed Warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
?ccurately execute loading/unloading from pick tickets and line loading trailers when possible
?erform accurate bin transactions and inventory movements per SOPs
?ork as a team with production to ensure no line stoppages occur
?perate Windows based computer system
?erforms routine and preventive maintenance and equipment changeovers on palletizers
?upports continuous improvement initiatives
?erform loading or palletizing responsibilities as needed

Key qualifications include:
?igh school diploma or equivalent
?rior forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred with prior experience in manufacturing desired
?xposure to warehouse inventory scanners and basic equipment maintenance preferred
?bility to work self directed and with a team
?olid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team based environment
?bility to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work
?omputer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
?ocus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency
?bility to lift/move 50 lbs and get up and down a forklift frequently throughout the day
?ble to sit for long periods of time and drive backwards as needed
?pplicants must be at least 18 years of age
?ust be willing to accept seasonal/temporary assignment
?ble and willing to work 12 hour shifts including the potential for nights, weekends and holidays
?ust be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
