We are currently seeking a Specialist, Community Relations to be located in Poland Spring, ME and report to the Manager, Community Relations .
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
+ Community relations responsibilities, including: working with local factory teams and NRMs to assess internal/external stakeholders; developing and conducting interviews with stakeholders which requires an in-depth understanding of company positions on key issues
+ Event planning/logistics and support as it pertains to annual plant open houses, tours, stakeholder engagement activities/consultations and trade show events.
+ Independently leads key community engagement events including but not limited to tours of the Poland Spring Museum, water stewardship education programs with Maine schoolchildren and
+ Develop and foster relationships with key local community organizations and influencers
+ Stakeholder engagement as requested to independently staff community partnership offices, town hall and informational meetings which requires the ability to understand and articulate company positions in key issues, answer tough questions and maintain composure with community members who may be opposed to company projects.
+ Development and design of collaterals including- monitoring summary reports, brochures, informational boards.
+ Assist in supporting spring site / factory exploration and brand expansion in Maine through community engagement activities and conducting community assessments, in conjunction with the Community Relations Manager and Natural Resource Managers. As well as the support materials for potential sites.
+ Executing on a comprehensive strategic communications plan encompassing stakeholder relations, and community engagement in order to enhance local community sentiment.
Key qualifications include:
+ Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a community relations function, political office, or non-profit organization
+ Strong relationship building skills across broad range of external stakeholders
+ Community organizing and event planning and execution
+ Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with an ability to advocate positions and ideas to internal and external stakeholders
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, multi-task, and maintain composure under pressure
+ Computer skills including experience with PowerPoint and Excel
+ Ability to travel regionally 50% of time
+ Must be willing to work outside normal business hours (nights and some weekends)
+ Minimum education required: Bachelor s Degree

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
